Who doesn’t love a good book?

CONNECT, the free afterschool program for Highland Falls-Fort Montgomery Central School District second through sixth graders, has a Book Club! Here, Mr. Christopher reads Ralph S. Mouse to a younger group of students which also reads picture books. The club for the older group has been reading Spy School — usually the teacher starts off reading and then lets the students read aloud. And, after reading, the young learners play a game that will either be related to the story or sharpens their understanding of key vocabulary in the text. CONNECT is provided by the West Point Association of Graduates. Follow all their activities on Facebook at Hudson Valley Program. (From the News of the Hudson Highlands)
