Children enrolled in the CONNECT program at the Highland Falls Intermediate School spent some time last week making fun Valentine’s Day cards for children in the hospital battling cancer. They used recycled newspapers (doing their part to save the world!) and wrote happy things inside the cards, like the corny joke above. The goal? To make sick children smile. CONNECT is the free afterschool program for Highland Falls-Fort Montgomery Central School District second through sixth graders, hosted by the West Point Association of Graduates.
