The Daughters of the U.S. Army West Point has awarded community grants to some “amazing organizations that make this area a wonderful place to live and work”, DUSA members said this week. “This year, we provided 21 grants totaling more than $34,000 – all made possible through the proceeds of the DUSA Gift Shop, located in the West Point Museum.”
The Grants Awards Ceremony was held on Wednesday, April 23, in the Washington Ballroom at The Thayer Hotel.
Local grantees include: American Legion, Club Beyond, Community Connections, Community Garden at Holy Innocents, the CONNECT Program, Constitution Island Association, Girl Scouts of West Point, HFFM PTP, Highland Falls Library, Highlanders Senior Citizens Club, Hudson Highlands United Methodist Church, O’Neill High School Cheerleading, O’Neill High School Girls’ Lacrosse, O’Neill High School Senior Bash, Junior Black Knights Soccer, Single Moms Making Moves, Town of Highlands Historical Society, Veteran’s Repertory Theater, West Point Middle School, West Point Museum and Wreaths Across America.
