CONNECT program offer Spanish lessons via Duolingo

Under the direction of Mr. Randy, students enrolled in the Highland Falls Intermediate School’s CONNECT program have the opportunity to begin learning Spanish at an early age, via a Duolingo class. Duolingo is a popular, language-learning platform that offers online courses using a ‘gamified’ approach, incorporating points, rewards, and interactive lessons to keep users engaged. With it the students practice, as seen here, vocabulary and grammar, speaking, writing and reading. It’s an academic offering at CONNECT, which is sponsored by the West Point Association of Graduates and is a free after-school program for second through sixth graders.
