Christine McDonald, shown at right, is the director of CONNECT, the West Point Association of Graduate’s free, afterschool program for students in the Highland Falls Intermediate School. At left are some of the program’s participants from the 2024-25 school year. McDonald and others from her staff were at the Highland Falls Fire Department’s Christmas in July event on July 26, meeting local families and encouraging them to sign children up for the program. For the 2025-26 school year, CONNECT will begin on Monday, September 8; the program is for students in third through eighth graders.
