Cinco de Mayo Celebration

Friday, May 5th CONNECT hosted a Cinco de Mayo celebration. Students got to engage in a variety of fun activities including snack stations.

The first station was quesadillas; where students enjoyed warm tortillas loaded with melted cheese and the choice of apple filling or sour cream and salsa. At the second station the students participated in making homemade guacamole and enjoyed it with tortilla chips. The last stop was dessert, where students got to have churros covered in a delicious chocolate sauce.

The final activity put each group to work breaking their own piñata. The contents provided more than enough candy for everyone to enjoy some and still have plenty to bring home!
