Baseball is the name of the game!

Given the opportunity to be in a class where they play baseball every day, versus doing something indoors on (most!) recent Spring days, many students enrolled in the Highland Falls Intermediate School’s CONNECT program picked baseball! In the class, students are learning the basics of the game, sportsmanship, and how to be a leader as each one of them gets a chance to be a team captain. From their teacher: “They are showing growth in their batting stances and swing, eagerness to participate, and their abilities in the field. Overall baseball at CONNECT has been a great success!” CONNECT is a free after-school program for second through sixth graders hosted by the West Point Association of Graduates.
